Creme de la Femme Event Celebrates Black Female Achievers

Olympian Denise Lewis’ table was having a blast

On 20th August I took a break from organising our new London shop opening to rub shoulders with and showcase a selection of Sapelle pieces to a group of inspiring women and role models at the inaugural Creme de la Femme luncheon.

The event is the sensational new luxury networking Luncheon created by Screen Nation Media for women of influence.

Screen Nation has been hosting industry related Film, TV & Digital awards event celebrating the leading professionals of African heritage since 2003.

The event’s special honour went to Paulette Randall, whose prolific career has spanned from producing the popular 1980’s sitcom, ‘Desmond’s’ to being Associate Director of the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony.

Other guests included Olympics gold medallist, and TV presenter Denise Lewis, media entrepreneur Dr. Yvonne Thompson, New African Woman Editor Regina Jere, PR guru Sherry Ann Dixon and women from the entertainment, arts, business, social, politics and science sectors.

Proceeds from the event’s shopping and raffle activities went to three charities supported by Creme de la Femme: Sponsor a Girl, Womankind Worldwide and Housing for Women.

Can’t wait for the next one!
